Guilty As Charged
Copyright 2006: Time For Change

Fasten up your seatbelt, woah you'd better hold on tight
I've got this mother truckin' hammer down onto the floor tonight
Been seeing spots, out running cops, about to lose my mind
My throttle's stuck, this really sucks, but I'm making good time
I sure hope someone's gonna throw my bail
And come and get my ass out of jail!

My buddy's little sister is a pretty sight to see
But she wasn't old enough to cuddle up at night with me
A couple drinks until she thinks I've got the best intentions
I tried to play it cool, then she sarted asking questions
Want to see what's under what I wear? Hell Yeah!
Get my ass out of jail!

Stone walls and steel bars I'm guilty as charged
For speeding and drinking while driving my car
Picking her peaches before they were ripe
Singin' in barrooms and getting in fights
Sometimes a loose cannon, but most times a saint
Living my life like a tiger untamed
Running wild and chasin' the tail
Get my ass out of jail!

Sittin' on this barstool and it's time for me to leave
But once the liqour flows into my soul it takes control of me
I've been sittin' here and drinkin' beer all day long
They locked me up for gettin' drunk and acting like George Jones
Having too much fun and raising hell
Get my ass out of jail!

"Guilty As Charged" has been one of my most successful pieces of work to date. It was actually written in 2005 during two trips to Weldon, NC to compete at the Colgate Country Showdown. The song sparked so much interest among different audiences that it was included on The Bounty Hunters' 2007 album and also featured on a t-shirt!
