No Woman At Home
Copyright 2002: Long Time Coming

Hey bartender, I've got a tale to tell you
It's a story I'm sure you've heard a couple of times
But tonight I'm not here to drink a couple dozen beers
I'm just here to sing my heart out and pick away my tears

She left me all alone, I've got no woman at home
I never lied, lord I tried to never let her go
And all of the good that I've done
I must have done all wrong
She left me all alone, got no woman at home

My barroom friends, they all think that I don't care
'Cause I no longer need the booze to get me through
But what I need is that woman back in my arms where she belongs
Where she knows I never did and I'd never do her wrong

Fond memories of this one here. "No Woman At Home" was written while performing with my father's band Family Legacy back home in NJ. This was kind of a good riddance message for an ex-girlfriend and everyone knew it. I was happy to finally get this thing recorded again!
