Hell on earth and it gets worse, it’s do or die in a day of work
This battlefield is all too real, pain and pride is all I feel
I sacrifice my family life, destroy what’s
wrong, defend what’s right
Sir, yes sir, I’m 24 and I’m fighting someone else’s
war
Silence falls and duty calls, I say a prayer for those back home
Without a sound I hit the ground and fire off another round
No time to sleep on tired feet, they’re
burning flags out in the street
Foreign words I can’t ignore and I’m fighting someone
else’s war
Terror in the air, inhaling evil everywhere
Marching through the desert sun, one by one and we’re not scared
A battle
bred American, fight for freedom and my friends
Do my job and don’t ask why, fire in
the sky
A baby cries, a soldier dies, I look the devil in the eye
And pray to God as human bombs explode just like in Vietnam
Machine gun rounds are raining down, I grab
my gun and stand my ground
In other words, war of the world and I’m fighting someone else’s
war
Defend my land for Uncle Sam and my fellow Americans
Stand
and salute, red, white and blue, protected by our nation’s youth
Fight for peace and liberty, united sea to
shining sea
2 million strong say bring it on, we stand one nation under God
